From the Crater Highlands to the Serengeti plains
Depart at 8:00 a.m. from Arusha or your hotel and head toward Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Highlands. Stop at a viewpoint overlooking the crater, then continue through Maasai land and acacia savannas into the Serengeti, with a picnic lunch en route. Arrive at your tented camp by late afternoon for sundowners and dinner under the stars.

The Great Migration at the Mara River
Set off by 6:30 a.m. for a full-day game drive in Northern Serengeti, where the migration drama unfolds. Wildebeest and zebras gather along the Mara River, some plunging into the crocodile-filled waters on their journey north, while lions, hyenas and crocodiles lie in wait. Return to camp by mid-afternoon for a fireside dinner.

Another day in Northern Serengeti deepens your migration experience. With luck, witness a new crossing or predators stalking the herds, with elephants, giraffes, buffalo and hippos nearby. Return to camp for an evening of storytelling and stargazing by the fire.

Big cats and calving grounds in Central Serengeti
Drive south into Central Serengeti, a landscape of kopjes and open plains famed for resident lions, cheetahs and leopards, and often the calving grounds during the migration. Your guide leads you to waterholes and predator hotspots, with a picnic lunch en route. Arrive at your lodge in time for the final Serengeti sunset.

Descent into the Ngorongoro Crater
Depart early for the Ngorongoro Crater and its dense population of wildlife. On the crater floor you may see the Big Five, flamingos at Lake Magadi and endangered black rhinos. After a picnic lunch, ascend the rim and return to Arusha by early evening.
