The Journey

7 days · Trekking

The Lemosho Route starts on the western side of the mountain at Londorossi Gate and is known for its scenic beauty and quieter trails compared with Marangu and Machame. After forest and moorland it crosses the Shira Plateau to join the Machame route at Lava Tower and descends to Barranco Valley via the Southern Circuit. You may see buffalo, elephant and other game early on, and the gradual profile gives a high summit success rate.
