The Journey

8 days · Trekking

The Northern Circuit is one of the best routes on Kilimanjaro, offering nearly 360 degrees of scenery including the quiet northern slopes. It starts from Londorossi Gate in the west, crosses the Shira Plateau, then circles clockwise via Moir Hut, Buffalo Camp and Rongai Third Cave to School Hut and summits from the east. The long route allows excellent acclimatization and a high summit success rate, with low traffic. This 8-day version is the faster variation; the 9-day adds an extra Shira night.
