Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast you tour Kigali, visiting the Genocide Memorial where more than 250,000 victims of the 1994 genocide are buried; short video clips and remains help tell the story. You are then transferred (about 2 hours) to Musanze near Volcanoes National Park for dinner and overnight.

Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early coffee and the briefing at park headquarters, you enter the forest with a packed lunch to search for the mountain gorillas. Once found, you can sit with them for a whole hour, watching their social life and taking pictures. A reasonable degree of fitness is required, along with walking shoes, packed food, water, insect repellent, sunscreen and a hat. The trek takes half or a whole day depending on the gorillas' movements. In the afternoon you relax at your lodge with views over the volcanoes.

Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Kigali
After breakfast your driver-guide takes you to the park headquarters for the briefing and a golden monkey trek in the forest, less strenuous than gorilla trekking. You return to the lodge for lunch, then transfer to Kigali for your hotel or your evening flight home.
