You arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and are transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge, a colonial-heritage lodge on its own coffee estate beneath the foothills of Mount Meru, with plantation rooms with fireplaces and fine dining.

Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp (Days 2–4)
You transfer to Arusha for your scheduled flight to the Serengeti and stay three nights at the intimate Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp, with just six open-plan Meru tents with en-suite bathrooms. This mobile camp follows the migration routes, with game drives, the chance to witness the Great Migration, spot the Big Five and relax around the campfire.

Kigali Serena Hotel
You fly to Kigali, Rwanda's capital, and check into the five-star Kigali Serena Hotel, with a sundeck pool and health club. You can explore Kigali's boulevards and markets or relax before the gorilla trek.

Bisate Lodge, Volcanoes National Park
You transfer to Bisate Lodge in Volcanoes National Park, an eco-luxury lodge within an eroded volcanic cone with views of the Karisimbi, Bisoke and Mikeno volcanoes, near the Kinigi park headquarters and with an indigenous reforestation project.

Mountain Gorilla Encounter
Your gorilla tracking begins at 6 AM. You trek through cultivated foothills and rainforest with colourful birds and butterflies, finding fresh buffalo and elephant spoor, before meeting the critically endangered mountain gorillas. You spend one hour with them, followed by lunch and nature walks.

Golden Monkey Tracking
You track golden monkeys in the highland bamboo forests; these primates have golden bodies and black limbs and live in groups of up to thirty, sharing habitat with mountain gorillas in the Virunga Mountains.
